Access 2016 Essentials
Welcome to the Access 2016 course. In this course, you’ll learn the core database management, manipulation and query skills needed to succeed in Access 2016. We’ll look at how to create and manage a database, how to build tables, and how to create queries, forms, and reports.
What is a database?
It is an organized collection of structured information or data.
Access 2016 allows users to rapidly search, rearrange, group and select fields of data to create reports. It is organized in groups of information, called tables. Access 2016 allow users to cross reference data from different tables to create a variety of reports. An unlimited amount of data can be organized, and then accessed as needed.
Create and Manage a Database
You’ll learn how to create a desktop database and import data from Excel spreadsheets. Learn how to establish and edit relationships within a database, navigate through a database, and how to protect your database from data loss. Learn how to print and export data from Access 2016.
Build Tables
Tables are the most important object in Access 2016. Every piece of data entered into the database is stored in a table. You will learn how to create and manage tables, as well as how to manage records in tables and create and modify fields.
Create Queries
Queries are a way to find data within a table. This module, will cover how to create and modify queries, and explain how to create calculated fields and grouping within queries.
Create Forms
Forms allow users to quickly find, enter and edit data. Learn how to create forms and configure form controls, and formatting for forms.
